the retrospective presents 15 exclusive masterpieces from the field of creative documentary. Many of which have already been shown as part of the festival over the last twenty years. Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker and Glenn Gould will be on the big screen, as well as award-winning compilation films by Dennis O’Rourke (HALF LIFE) and Hartmut Bitomsky (DEUTSCHLANDBILDER), Muhammad Ali will fight his big fight in Kinshasa one more time (WHEN WE WERE KINGS by Leon Gast) and in WITTSTOCK, WITTSTOCK, Volker Koepp accompanies three brave women through 20 evocative years.
