ADAM & STEVE: a film by CRAIG CHESTER

Working in the comic-confessional memoir vein made popular by David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs, out Hollywood actor Craig Chester (Swoon, Grief, Frisk) sublimely navigated a mid-career gear-shift 2 years ago when he published his hilarious best-selling memoir Why the Long Face? Now, Chester is about to turn even more heads with his hysterically funny writer/director debut feature film Adam & Steve, which will receive its WORLD PREMIERE at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on April 30th - and THE VERY NEXT NIGHT it will screen as the 7th annual Miami Gay & Lesbain Film Festival's Closing Night Film - that's right, only the second public screening in the entire world!!!

Chester's breakthrough is nothing short of astonishing, and it's thrilling to see his artistry mature and take on such a confident new direction. With his actor's background, he has a particular gift with a pitch-perfect sense of casting, and he wisely gives Parker Posey, Malcom Gets (from TV's Caroline in the City), Chris Kattan (of Saturday Night Live and Corky Romano fame) and a wonderful supporting cast that includes stars Sally Kirkland, Melinda Dillon and Julie Hagerty the space to let their crack comic talents loose. As a screenwriter and director, Chester 's voice is clear, strong and precise - he moves boldly in the directions of his dreams with broad comic strokes and a romantic's tender heart. BRAVO!

DIRECTOR CRAIG CHESTER AND PRODUCER KIRKLAND TIBBELS WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE AT THE SCREENING.
