Marché du Film in Cannes ready

In complement to and inseparable from the Festival de Cannes, the Marché du Film is home to the international motion-picture trade. Each and every year, it welcomes producers, international sales agents, distributors and financiers alike hailing from more than 80 different countries. In 2006, the Film Market should top the bar of 10,000 attendees. This steady increase has made the Film Market the world's number-one meeting-place for motion-picture industry professionals.

With over 1,400 screenings, the Film Market offers buyers an exceptional diversity of films, and its 400 exhibitors a venue enabling them in the space of just a few days to make a large share of their annual turnover.

The Film Market is equally the leading meeting-place in the world for negotiating coproduction contracts.

This vitality confirms its leading role on the international stage.

PRODUCERS NETWORK (LE RÉSEAU DES PRODUCTEURS)

Launched in 2004 by the Cannes Film Festival and the Film Market, the Producers Network is a programme designed both to accompany producers in the development of their projects, and to catalyse coproductions. It will bring together this year some 500 producers come from all over the world, with a sharp increase in attendees from Asian countries. Truly the "Network of Networks", it welcomes in particular producers selected by the most important coproduction markets.

The producers gather together every morning at thematic roundtables where guests come to share their experience in production and international financing. These roundtables represent a fertile breeding ground to multiply partnership opportunities within a dynamic group resolutely turned to the international marketplace.

A catalogue of the projects, distributed to all Film Market professionals, a dedicated Website, a meeting area and centre for consultation with both experts and attorneys complete this programme.
