Manhattan Film Festival 2010 Web-Based Competition

Our Signature 2010 Web-Based Competition is officially underway! The competition is being hosted on the manhattanfilm YouTube Partner Channel, the official home of the 2010 competition. This is a great opportunity to play a part in programming the 2010 Manhattan Film Festival while enjoying an exclusive view of the latest independent films. Participation is as simple as watching a film and voting either "like" or "dislike." The winning films will be announced June 4th. 

We are very proud to announce that we have partnered with the National Domestic Violence Hotline to produce the Film Heals Project. We have invited students and filmmakers to produce short films examining the effects domestic violence has on our communities with an emphasis on how it can be prevented. The films will compete online in June with the top filmmakers being honored at a special presentation hosted at the 2010 Manhattan Film Festival. The event will include a panel discussion featuring some of the most renowned experts in the field and will be attended by numerous celebrities supporting the cause. Tickets for select films are now available at the Peter Norton Symphony Space box office and we have just opened a Twitter account to provide additional details as we get closer to the festival.
