THE FUTURE OF FILM IS IN ITS GRASSROOTS

2 days until our next submissions deadline and only a few short weeks until we're closed for submissions for 2022!

Be a part of our filmmaking community this year as we return to that beautiful big screen and show us what you've been working on.

With a slate of prizes, awards, software, equipment, and opportunity pathways on the cards, we're excited to get this year's films geared up for future projects and, remember, winning shorts will be eligible for Best British Short Film at BIFA.

"While there is no shortage of festivals purporting to support emerging filmmakers, Little Wing is one of the few that keeps its promise. Every aspect of the festival - from the audience feedback forms to the workshops to the prizes which include advice sessions with industry partners - has been conceived to provide the help a novice filmmaker needs to persist. And in stark contrast to the conveyor-belt mentality of many other festivals, the attention, time and care taken by Mariah and her team to nurture relationships with each filmmaker before, during and after the festival - such that one feels they are palpably invested in the flourishing of both the film and the filmmaker - is transformative in ways that cannot be quantified. I cannot recommend this festival more highly!" - Simon Zhou, FilmFreeway
