Land InSights, a source of inspiration

André Dudemaine will give the Key Note speech tomorrow at the Festival Academy workshop being held in Montreal this week as part of the Festival TransAmériques activities. This training and exchange session, held annually in a different country, brings together young emerging arts festival directors from around the world.

André Dudemaine, one of the co-founders of the organization Land InSights, has been directing the Montreal First Peoples Festival for 32 years.

On Friday, following the screening of the film Innu Nikamu: Chanter la résistance, Sylvain Vollant of Maliotenam and André Dudemaine will discuss with participants the social function of artistic events and the necessary resilience that rooted festivals must demonstrate in order to remain in place and fully fulfill their mandate.
