Jagmohan Mundra passed away

A GREAT LOSS TO THE INDIAN CINEMA

It’ a matter of immense grief that the noted film maker Mr. Jagmohan Mundra passed away on September 4, 2011. This is a great loss to the Indian cinema. JIFF family offers the condolence to all his family members’ fans, & friends.
Rajasthan was his native place and he was firmly attached the same. He had produced films like “Bawandar” which was based on the current issues related to women in Rajasthan. On his sad dismissal JIFF has organized a condolence meeting at 11.00am at the festival office on 5Th September 2011.
I had a word with him on 2nd September 2011 on phone. He was sounding healthy & delightful as ever. He was all set for the shoot of his next film. He attended 1St & 3Rd editions of Jaipur International Film Festival. Further he stated that he will keep attending the future editions of JIFF. But now it will not be possible. Still, his cinema will be with us. JIFF will TRIBUTE a section to Mr. Jagmohan Mundra in JIFF 2012.
Yours sincerely

(Hanu Roj)
