Jaco van Dormael's Mr Nobody moves to Germany

Jaco van Dormael’s ambitious new film MR. NOBODY, his first in English, continues its sixth month shoot, moving to Germany at the end of October. The shoot started this June in Belgium, moving on to Montreal in Canada. Van Dormael, director of the award-winning hits TOTO THE HERO (1991) and THE EIGHTH DAY (1996), has assembled a very strong cast including Jared LETO (REQUIEM OF THE DREAM, AMERICAN PSyCHO, ALEXANDER, LORD OF WAR); Sarah POLLEY (The Secret Life of Words, eXistenZ, MY LIFE WITHOUT ME), DIANE KRUGER (Merry Christmas, Troy) LINH DAN PHAM (THE BEAT THAT MY HEART SKIPPED, INDOCHINE) and Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill.). The team behind the camera is equally strong. The screenplay is by Jaco van Dormael, with Christophe Beaucarne as Director of Photography, and Visual Effects by Louis Morin (THE FOUNTAIN, THE AVIATOR, ETERNAL SUSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND) and Uli Nefzer (V FOR VENDETTA, TWO BROTHERS, PERFUME). You get two chances in life.  To fulfil your dreams, or not.February 2092.  Nemo Nobody is 120 years old.  He is the oldest, and indeed the last, mortal in a world populated by happy immortals.  He re-lives, in flashbacks, his many years of marriage with Anna...  Unless it was actually Elise...  Or Jeanne?  His fate was played out on a train station platform when he was 8 years old, confronted with an impossible choice: going to live in America with his mother, or staying in England with his father.  And then the Butterfly Effect – when something as simple as a drop of water changes everything – came into play and altered the course of his lives.  Be they real or imaginary. The Producer is Philippe Godeau for Somebody Production, with Co-Producers Alfred Huermer for Integral Film, Marco Mehlitz for Lago Film, Jaco van Dormael for Toto & Co, Films and Christian Larouche for Christal Films. Wild Bunch are handling international sales, with Pathé distributing the film in France, Belga Films/RTL in Belgium, Concorde in Germany, and Christal Films in Canada.
