Festival of Cinema NYC made it's mark at the Regal UA Midway in Forest Hills for the 9th year. The prestigious film festival screened over 115 films from emerging filmmakers worldwide, and featured 11 seminars and workshops by some of the film industry's top professionals - from Casting Directors to Cinematographers to Crowd Funding Experts, the 2025 Festival of Cinema NYC had a little bit of something for everyone! The Awards Dinner sponsored by Forest Hills local law firm ALG LAW GROUP kicked off in style with a wonderful performance by musician and film composer Oboelulu playing her original compositions “piano girl “ and “ Wish 927”

On Sunday August 10th, filmmakers and attendees gathered for one last time, at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center, over an amazing buffet style dinner. The night was full of laughter, tears, and surprises as the nominated filmmakers, actors, and writers competed for awards in 17 categories including the Audience Choice Awards for Best Feature Film and Best Short Film.
