Indian festival season is just ahead!

Indian Festival season is just ahead. Along with colorful social festivals like Navartri and Diwali, bouquets of film festivals just rolling one after another for Indian and Internation film goers. The season starts with MAMI, followed by Third Eye, Followed by IFFI and so on.


The 12th edition of MAMI festival, opening on 21st Oct, has all women juries, which is happening first time in India. This year the festival has changed venue to Chandan & PVR in Juhu Mumbai. The schedule is yet to finalized and delegate registration is open.

Immediately after the Mami, on very next day on 29th Oct, The “Third Eye” Asian film festival will start rolling the films. As told by the Festival director Sudhir Nandgaonkar, the week long festival will showcase 80 films and 50 short films from Asian countries which will be screened across theatres in (Chavan Auditorium) south and central Mumbai (Plaza) and in the sub urban (Fun Republic) Andheri. Acclaimed Bollywood director Mr. Shyam Benegal will be felicitated with the Asian Film Culture award. The award honors the achievements of Asian directors, and is given each year to the master of Asian cinema. Delegate can register at all three venues.

Next will be the IFFI from 22nd November in Goa. The 41st edition of International Film Festival of India is a now a reason to visit Goa every year in November. It is the largest film festival in India has highest Prize money of $ 200,000. It presents best of Indian and world cinema every year. Delegates are advised to register themselves on line.
