Hole in One for Bobby Jones

BOBBY JONES – STROKE OF GENIUS
With James Caviezel, Claire Forlani, Malcolm McDowell, Jeremy Northam
Opening in Theaters Nationwide April 30th, 2004

Film Foundry Releasing presents BOBBY JONES – STROKE OF GENIUS, written and directed by Rowdy Harrington and starring James Caviezel, Claire Forlani, Jeremy Northam and Malcolm McDowell. BOBBY JONES – STROKE OF GENIUS is set to open in theaters nationwide on April 30, 2004.

For some athletes, the ultimate win comes through a stroke of luck, but for Robert Tyre Jones, Jr., “Bobby Jones,” the only golfer in history to win the prestigious Grand Slam all in the same year- it was truly a stroke of genius. In 1930, at the age of 28, Jones won the title of Grand Slam Champion by winning the British Amateur, the British Open, the U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur. His record remains unbroken today. BOBBY JONES – STROKE OF GENIUS is not only the story about the amazing feats Bobby Jones accomplished on the golf course, but the way he lived his life off the course. The film is a true testimony to an exceptional man – a man of integrity, honesty and great character. Bobby Jones became a true American hero, not because he played for money or fame, but rather for the love of the game. Bobby Jones, whose natural skill and uncanny passion for the game earned him the title “the best golfer in the world,” will always be remembered as a true gentleman and gracious sportsman.
James Caviezal (The Passion Of Christ, The Thin Red Line) stars as Bobby Jones with Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black, The Rock) as his devoted wife, Mary; Jeremy Northam (The Singing Detective, Gosford Park) as Golf champ and raconteur, Walter Hagen; and Malcolm McDowell (The Company, Between Strangers, O Lucky Man!) as journalist O.B. Keeler, mentor and lifetime friend to Bobby Jones.
The film is not yet rated and has a running time of 120 minutes. Film Foundry will release BOBBY JONES – STROKE OF GENIUS nationwide on April 30, 2004. www.bobbyjonesthemovie.com
