FOCUS 2011: 5th Global Summit on Entertainment & Media

FOCUS 2011: 5th Global Summit on Entertainment & Media is being organized on Friday, 9th September, 2011 at The Oberoi, New Delhi from 9:00 am onwards.

The theme for FOCUS 2011 is from Analog to Digitization…As we understand that all DTH service providers are eagerly seeking for HD or high definition TV. The recent TRAI recommendations on digitization of the broadcasting systems will only lead to huge business opportunity for the industry.

Chairman, TRAI has already confirmed his participation for FOCUS 2011.

FOCUS has witnessed the participation of leaders from the Entertainment & Media Sector and has been “Officially Supported” by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India since its inception in 2007.

FOCUS 2011 have got partnership confirmations from Airtel DigitalTV, Microsoft, STAR, UTV Stars, Anandabazar Patrika, K Sera Sera, Innovative Film City, PVR Cinemas, Hungama, AMR Infrastructure. Others are awaited.

The 58th National Film Awards is also being held on the same day in New Delhi from 5:30 pm. We are pleased to inform you that most of the National Film Awardees have also confirmed their participation for FOCUS 2011, for felicitation and the reception in the evening.

Leading Film and Broadcasting Trade Associations and organisations like Film Federation of India, Prasar Bharti, The India Newspaper Society, News Broadcasters Association, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, and Motion Picture Association of America have already confirmed their "Official Support" for FOCUS 2011.
