First LFF Connects events unveiled for this year's Festival!

The BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express^®announces leading international talent working in film, television, music, art, games and creative technologies headlining this year’s LFF Connects events.

These ground-breaking, thought-provoking and spectacular talks and events will showcase talent and stimulate new collaborations and ideas between filmmakers and creative leaders.



LFF Connects: Creative Technologies

Special effects master and eight-time Oscar winner Dennis Muren is joined in conversation by David Vickery and Kevin Jenkins from ILM London

LFF Connects: Television - Black Mirror

Co-creators Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones, and director Joe Wright discuss the latest series of Black Mirror + a preview of new episode Nosedive



LFF Connects: Art/ Immersive Film 

Australian artist and filmmaker Lynette Wallworth, a trailblazer in the field of immersive film, presents her first foray into Virtual Reality, the dazzling, devastating Collisions.



LFF Connects: Games 

David Cage, founder of the game development studio Quantic Dream, discusses the visual artistry of games design with Jonathan Ross

LFF Connects: Music/ Performance 

Speculative architect Liam Young and acclaimed electronic producer Forest Swords present the world premiere of their audio-visual tour, In the Robot Skies.

DJ Yoda will present the world premiere of his latest journey into popular culture. DJ Yoda Goes To The Arcades: A History of Gaming, will chart some of the best loved and most fondly remembered games from the early 1980s to the present.



BFI London Film Festival Director, Clare Stewart says:

“Building on a vibrant and successful pilot year in 2015, we are thrilled to be continuing LFF Connects, the BFI London Film Festival’s new talks and events programme that brings together storytellers and innovators working at the vanguard of their creative practices to share their ideas, inspirations and approaches with festival-goers and accredited industry alike.”



The full Festival programme will be revealed on Thursday 1 September.



The 60th BFI London Film Festival takes place 05-16 October at venues across London.
