Film Star Awards in New Orleans

2004 LE PRIX INTERNATIONAL FILM STAR AWARDS AND GALA
SUNDAY, MARCH 28th AT 5PM
ORPHEUM THEATER AND FAIRMONT HOTEL NEW ORLEANS

The 2004 Le Prix International Film Star Awards will be held Sunday, March 28th at 5pm at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans, Louisiana.A black-tie patron Gala follows the Awards presentation in the famed Blue Room of the Fairmont New Orleans Hotel. The Le Prix International Film Star Awards is the only international awards show that honor entertainers for their body of work. Past honorees and celebrity participants include Charlize Theron, Jodie Foster, Anjelica Huston, Paul Newman, Whoopi Goldberg, Helen Mirren, Juliette Binoche, Laura Linney, William Shatner, Kate Winslet, Martin Landau, Robert Altman, Michael Keaton and David Carradine, to name a few.
Awards presentations include Best Actor/Actress, Best Supporting
Actor/Actress, Rising Star, International Star, Career Achievement, Creative
Achievement for producers/directors/writers, Humanitarian, Entertainer of
the Year and Movie of the Year.
The show is also a tribute to the more than 350 productions that have been filmed in Louisiana in the last 100 years! Contemporary productions include “Steel Magnolias,” “Dead Man Walking,” “Interview with a Vampire,” “sex, lies and videotape,” “Monster’s Ball” and “Runaway Jury.” Classics include “Jezebel,” starring Bette Davis and Henry

Fonda, John Ford’s “Horse Soldiers,” with John Wayne, Cecil B. DeMille’s “The Buccaneer,” and of course…”A Street Car Named Desire,” starring the incomparable Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh. The official event website is www.intlfilmstarawards.com.
The pre-show red carpet, awards show and post gala are produced by Topaz Productions of Los Angeles and New Orleans. The event will be televised by TBTN, taped live for later broadcast. The five previous ceremonies have been held during the Cannes International Film Festival and in Los Angeles at 20th Century Fox Film Studios.
