The FICTS Executive Committee has decided to award with the “FICTS Guirlande d’Honneur” - in occasion of his age of eighty - Clint Eastwood, actor, director and American producer. He was awarded with the “Oscar” as best director with the film “Million dollar baby” (inserted in the pool available on the site www.sportmoviestv.com: “Vote the best sport movies of all time among the 12 proposed by FICTS”) let alone author of several film, among which the “Great Turin”, “Invictus”, last masterpiece in which is metaphor of the life above all in the history of the “Springboks” the rugby team that has won the World-wide Championship in 1995 against New Zealand.
The highest honour of the Federation will be delivered on October 28th to Milano (Italy) in occasion of “MOVIES & TV SHORT FILMS 2010 - with free topic” promoted by the FICTS (joined with 103 Members Countries) in collaboration with cinematographic, audiovisual and multimedia associations and the Universities. The cultural event means to value, promote and spread the short films as expressive original form, develop the capacity of the artistic languages of the new media, support the production of young directors whom expose themselves at the same time to the “short form” offering the greatest visibility to them inserting in international context. Photographic exhibitions, meetings with the personalities of the cinema, sides events will be the settings to the event.
An important worldwide showcase opened to all the television, cinematographic and tv productions, to the New media, to the independent and professionals directors, etc., that can participate to the competition with works with duration of 30 minutes and produced in 2008/2009/2010, shoot in any format and technique (fiction, cartoon, documentaries).

“MOVIES & TV SHORT FILMS 2010 - With free topic” will be organized on the occasion of “Sport Movies & Tv 2010 - 28th Milano International FICTS Fest”, worldwide Final of the 14 stages of the International Circuit of “World FICTS Challenge (WFC)” that carried out in the 5 Continents. All the necessary materials to formalize the submission to the Festival should be send to the FICTS offices within and no later than July 5th 2010.
