The line-up thus-far includes over 75 films, including several Single-8mm and Super-8mm films as well as many 16mm and 35mm pieces that explore beyond the limits of contemporary screen culture. The festival's various events will be held at several of Colorado's most adored and respected venues and cinema-houses, including the Mayan Theatre, Museum of Contemporary Art/Denver, The Bug Theatre, The Assembly Gallery and the Denver Starz FilmCenter.

Peter Tscherkassky, David Gatten, Phil Solomon, Nathaniel Dorsky, François P. Boué, Martha Colburn and many others.
Rarely seen films by:
Andy Warhol, Boyd Rice, Tony Hill, Jack Smith and several others.
Expanded Cinema by:
Alex Mckenzie, Jason Wade and other cineastes expandistas.
Filmmaker's Art Gallery:
Sheri Wills, Boyd Rice, Telemaach Wiesinger and other TIE -2005 filmmakers will have pieces exhibiting at the Assembly Gallery for the month of September, opening on Friday, 9/2. The Filmmaker's Gallery is co-curated by Jared Anderson.

Board of Artistic Directors:
TIE welcomes Vicki Honeyman and Genevieve Yue to its Board of Artistic Directors. Former Michigan-based film festival director, Vicki Honeyman, supports and believes in the visual artistry and essence of celluloid-based cinema. Honeyman directed a Michigan film festival of independent and experimental 16mm film for 15 years, until their recent addition of electronic formats. Genevieve Yue’s writings and translations have appeared in Senses of Cinema, Salon, and exhibition catalogues at the Getty Museum (forthcoming), the Venice Biennale and the Hayward Gallery, She also programs the Beyond Film series of experimental cinema at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice, California. She lives in Los Angeles. Their unparalleled experience and passion for experimental cinema are a perfect match for the TIE Board, which include Standish Lawder, Bernardo Vorobow, M.M. Serra and others.

Detailed exhibition notes from "Notes After a Long Silence" are now now online in our Archives section.The notes were written by TIE Artistic Director - Bill Storz, who also curated this historical four-hour Boston, Super-8 program of films by Mark Lapore, Saul Levine, Anne Robertson, Luther Price, Phil Solomon and others. New Designer:
TIE announces its collaboration with graphic designer, Jorge Velez, who is working with TIE on projects that include print, web and limited edition materials. While working on the design, Velez says,"...It is not just looking for something new.. This organization takes a look at the human need to search, push and explore beyond what is considered safe." TIE Director/Founder, Christopher May, is excited about Velez' involvement. "...TIE is honored to work with an artist such as Jorge Velez. He has brought an unparalleled presence to the design and direction of our materials and information.."
Tour:
TIE's Tour Show is a traveling showcase which remains true to its dedication: celluloid works in their true format, from the latest contemporary works to archival films from the rich history of experimental cinema. The tour is a collection of highlights from the past five years of TIE’s expositions and festivals. The varying programs exhibit at a limited number of venues. Upcoming shows include:
