NORDIC FILM AWARD
Eight new feature films battle it out in the festival's Nordic Competition. The Nordic Film Award consists of SEK 100 000 from Region Västra Götaland.
Jury: Johan Jonason, director, Sweden, Erlend Loe, author, Norway, Ásdís Thoroddsen, director, Iceland, Kirsi Tykkyläinen, Export Manager, Finland and Vibeke Windeløv, producer, Denmark.
Will be awarded during the Dragon Awards Gala, Sat, Feb 6.

Winner 2010: "R"
THE INGMAR BERGMAN INTERNATIONAL DEBUT AWARD
Will be awarded for the fourth time during the festival. An international jury selects the winner from eight nominated first or second works from a director. TIBIDA is awarded to "a debutant who in his film treats an existential theme with a dynamic or experimental approach to the cinematic means of expression". The award consists of one week's stay during the Bergman Week in the summer of 2010, a DVD box containing 23 Bergman films from the Ingmar Bergman Foundation and a lovely stone from Ingmar Bergman's beach in Fårö, with his name engraved.

Angela Kóvacs, actress, Sweden.

NORDIC FILM AWARD – AUDIENCE AWARD
New award! For the first time, the viewers have their say in the Nordic Competition! Voting takes place during the première screenings at cinema Draken, every night at 5.30 PM between Friday, Jan 29, and Friday, Feb 5.
Will be awarded during the Dragon Awards Gala, Sat, Feb 6.

BEST SWEDISH DOCUMENTARY
New award! Every new documentary screened during the festival with a running time exceeding 45 minutes is nominated, 15 in all.

Best Swedish Short - Resurs Synchleader Award
One of the world's most important short film awards! Eight nominees. The prize consists of film equipment and a cash sum from trade association Resurs, the Swedish Film Institute's short film commissioner Andra Lasmanis, Swedish Television, Folkets Bio, Filmpool Mitt, Filmregion Stockholm-Mälardalen and the Swedish Union for Theatre Artists and Media. The total value of the prize, which is intended to help finance the winner's next film, is SEK 938 000.

NORDIC FILM MUSIC PRIZE
New award! In a new collaboration copyright organisations from the Nordic countries award SEK 100 000 to the best Nordic film music composer. Listen to the nominees' music – we screen all five nominated films. During the opening ceremony on Jan 29, before the opening film The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of José González, music by the five nominees will be performed on the Draken stage, arranged by Finnish keyboardist, composer, conductor and producer Heikki Elo.
The prize will be awarded during the Dragon Awards Gala, Sat, Feb 6.

Winner 2010: Dani Strömbäck for the score in Letter to Father Jacob
THE LORENS AWARD
Stockholm Postproduction – Stopp – gives the producer award Lorens to one of the producers behind a Swedish production from 2009. The prize consists of free developing of the film for the winning producer's next production and is worth approximately SEK 500 000.
Jury: Petra Ahlin, editor, Jesper Bergom-Larsson, producer, Tony Forsberg, photographer, Reza Parsa, director and Ali Boriri, film lab manager and filmmaker.
The prize will be awarded during the Dragon Awards Gala, Sat, Feb 6.

Raw film at a value of SEK 50 000, for best cinematography in a film competing for the Nordic Film Prize.

THE CHURCH OF SWEDEN FILM AWARD

The FIPRESCI award is given by the International federation of film critics to one of the competing Nordic feature films.

Will be awarded during the Dragon Awards Gala, Sat, Feb 6.

BEST SWEDISH NOVELLA FILM
The short story competition is now in its tenth year. SEK 200 000 from SVT (Swedish Television) and SFI (The Swedish Film Institute) for the best short story film among the eight contestants.
Awarded on Friday Feb 5 at Bergakungen 2 at the end of the short story marathon, at appr. 4 PM, after which the winning film will be shown.

The audience votes for their favourite among the eight short story films. Voting takes place during the marathon and the awarded is presented along with the Short Story Award (see above).

GÖTEBORGS STORA FILMPRIS
The "Göteborgs Stora Filmpris" Award – SEK 50 000 – is awarded by the city of Göteborg to the Guldbagge nominee film that best pleased the audience jury. Voting takes place during three Draken screenings before the festival (Jan 21–23). The Guldbagge award gala will be shown in the Draken cinema in a live broadcast.
The prize will be given out before the opening film The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of José González at Draken on Friday Jan 29, 5.30 PM.

THE MAI ZETTERLING GRANT
SEK 200 000 will go to a director "of high artistic quality who expands the borders of short or documentary film". The recipient of the grant will be selected by a work group at The Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
