Denver wraps 11 days of celebration

Yesterday, the Starz Denver Film Festival wrapped its 30th year of bringing international film and filmmakers to Denver. The 11-day event was a huge success, seeing a 16 percent increase in attendance with 45,136 people attending the films and events. There were more than 375 screenings, of which 125 were sell-outs! The films were diverse, the parties were fabulous, the red carpet events were star-studded and the award ceremonies were memorable. The Closing Night celebration was one to remember. It began with a glamorous red carpet that included filmmakers from across the globe; Anita Kravos and Giovanni Martorana joined us from Italy, Ghyslaine Côté from Montreal, and a bevy of creative artists from here in the states.
The carpet was capped off with a bit of a homecoming for our guest of honor, Keri Russell, who introduced the world premiere of her new film AUGUST RUSH. After the film, the packed house of attendees and VIPs continued the festivities at the EXDO Event Center where pearl lanterns filled the room, the Rooster Brothers rocked out some country-fried tunes, and the culmination of 10 days of celebration and months of hard work became the Last Reel Party for the 30th Starz Denver Film Festival.
