DCIFF Bringing the Best Of Independent Film To Washington

2007 Washington, DC Independent Film Festival ( www.dciff.org)

The 9th Annual Washington, DC Independent Film Festival will be held March 1 – 11, 2007. Academy Award winner Director Oliver Stone will open this year's festival.

One of the premiere festivals for indie films on the Atlantic Coast, DCIFF runs 11 days, exhibits over 100 films (features, shorts, animations, documentaries, student) from around the world, and features 30 themed film showcases (Political, Cine Latino, Jewish, International, Black, European, etc).

The film festival also includes 7 days of leading industry expert panels, Master classes, and the International, National Advocacy, and "Going Green" carbon-neutral filmmaking Advocacy Forums, as well as industry breakfasts, VIP receptions, happy hours, opening and closing night galas. Every festival event will be held in one location, at the temporary site of the DC Moving Image Center (DC MIC) of District of Columbia (currently at the University of the District of Columbia, 4200 Connecticut Avenue, Auditorium 46 - only steps away from the Van Ness Metro station.)
