Copenhagen International Film Festival Awards

Copenhagen International Film Festival has determined the winners of the Golden Swans

The eleven films in competition have been judged by an international jury of five international film personalities, headed by 'Bergman's right hand', the producer Katinka Faragó. The awards ceremony is the culmination of the past ten days' tribute to European films, and the awards will be presented in the categories Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Grand Jury Special Prize, Alice Award and Audience Award.


The Golden Swans go to

Best Film: Children (Börn, Iceland)
Director: Ragnar Bragason. Produced by: Gísli Örn Garðarsson, Hlynur Kristjánsson, Ingvar E.Sigurðsson, Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir, Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Víkingur Kristjánsson and Ragnar Bragason.

Grand Jury Special Prize: The Band's Visit (Bikur hatizmoret, Israel/France)

Best Director: Mirush (Blodsbånd, Norway)
