Cleveland celebrities karaoke

Local Celebrities Lend Their Voices In Support of the 30th International Film Festival

County official Peter Lawson Jones, city officials Zack Reed and Valerie McCall, Plain Dealer columnist Dick Feagler and Q104 deejay Rebecca Wilde will be present at The Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club’s MOVIEOKE to either sing or judge. Partnering with the Cleveland International Film Festival, The 20/30 Club will host MOVIEOKE, in which participants will karaoke to film soundtracks to help raise money for the Club’s sponsorship of a film at this year’s Cleveland International Film Festival. MOVIEOKE takes place on Thursday, February 23, 2006, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fat Fish Blue.

County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones, Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed and other participants will sing songs featured in a variety of film soundtracks. Plain Dealer columnist Dick Feagler and the City of Cleveland’s Chief of Governmental Affairs Valerie McCall will judge contestants. Q104 deejay Rebecca Wilde will emcee the evening’s festivities. Prizes will be awarded based on the best performances, and giveaways will be given to audience members throughout the evening.

Admission to MOVIEOKE costs $5 for 20/30 Club and Cleveland Film Society members and $10 for the general public, which includes appetizers. Performance spaces are $10, while special $25 spaces are reserved for participants to challenge friends to perform.

The Cleveland International Film Festival will be held at Tower City Cinemas from March 16, 2006 to March 26, 2006. Tickets to the Festival go on sale Friday, February 24 to Cleveland Film Society members and Friday, March 3 to non-members. For more information please visit www.clevelandfilm.org
