Charlie Morrison named “Vice President” at Red Wagon Entertainment
Red Wagon Entertainment’s Co Heads Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher today announced the promotion of Charlie Morrison to Vice President. Morrison will work alongside Vice President of Motion Picture and Television Nicki Cortese and Creative Executive Lucas Wiesendanger.
The announcement comes in the wake of of last week’s worldwide number one opening for Red Wagon’s and Lionsgate’s sequel to The Divergent Series, INSURGENT, for which Morrison served as co-producer. Morrison will also be co-producer on the series’ next upcoming sequel, ALLEGIANT. The Divergent Series comes from Red Wagon directly on the heels of the prior success of THE GREAT GATSBY at WB which garnered 2 Academy Awards. Currently, Red Wagon Entertainment is expanding to television and has several projects in development, which Morrison will also oversee. Said Wick announcing Morrison’s promotion: “Charlie has excellent taste and is a magnet for talent”. Fisher added “He has been invaluable in setting up new projects.”
An Oxford graduate, Morrison first worked for the BBC before to moving to Los Angeles in 2009. He worked in the independent film finance department at ICM before joining Temple Hill under Marty Bowen during the TWILIGHT film series. In 2012, Morrison joined Red Wagon Entertainment as a Creative Executive.
