Buzz from Miami Gay & Lesbian Fest

The buzz was still going strong today about the amazing Gala after party for the opening night film "Straight Jacket" at the exquisite Alfred I. Dupont building thanks to Roberto Ferreria who produced one of the best celebrations the festival has ever seen.
With some of Miami’s finest caterers including Elan Catering and an open bar overflowing with Absolut, Beaulieu Vineyards and Perrier, the evening was a huge success and raised additional money from the popular silent auction which had to be extended due to the overflow crowd bidding throughout the night for the top items including trips to Zurich and Rio.
Last nights all girl party for the film "Mango Kiss" was one of the festivals highlights with some of the hottest Florida girls gathering to celebrate at the ultra popular Jade Lounge. Director Sascha Rice, actors Daniele Ferraro and Michelle Wolff were the belle’s of the ball surrounded by fans and supporters who enjoyed DJ’s Stephen Peters and Gino Fuentes music and a special performance by Circ X. The evening proved that women do sometimes throw the best parties. The evening was hosted by SIREN, which is a weekly fusion of art, dance, music and culture for women who love women.

The festival celebrated last night with official dinners for the films "Straight Jacket" and "Paternal Instinct" at the packed China Grill. Joining festival program director Carol Coombes and her very sexy girlfriend Raquel was director Richard Day with his "Straight Jacket" stars Jack Plotnick and Miss Coco Peru who was in full regale as well as "Paternal Instinct" director Murray Nossel. A loud group of girls with a bachelorette party had no idea what they had in store for them when they were seated next to our table and the diva Miss Coco Peru. When the sex toy presents came out, Miss Coco loudly regaled us and our neighbors with stories of her Spanish boyfriend Rafael and their exploits. Needless to say the girls will remember their evening for a long time.

Across the street continuing the celebration was the official Strand Releasing dinner following their 15th Anniversary Tribute at the Regal Cinema with heads Marcus Hu and Jon Gerrans enjoying the amazing meal offered by the Tuscan Steak House. The food never stopped flowing as the other guests including "Rasberry Reich" director Bruce LaBruce were joined by festival manager Jaie Laplante and his super hot boyfriend Bella as well as festival Board of Director and very popular 93.1 DJ MarkyG. At dinner, Bruce LaBruce told us about his latest controversial short film that he made during a filmmaking program that he has not seen since the master ended up missing and is floating around the world with bootleg copies. The short features a naked man wearing a leather hood and pleasuring himself. He ends by cleaning himself up with the American flag.
The countdown continues for the upcoming Gala Centerpiece screening of "Cachorro (Bear Cub)" on Wednesday, April 28th with it’s sexy bear star Jose Luis Garcia-Perez attending the screening all the way from his hometown in Spain. Don’t miss the amazing after party at the beautiful Gyory & Osoris Art Studio with some very furry and sexy bear-style entertainment!!
