Award-Winners of Anima Brussels


- International Competition / Long feature films awards

With thirteen feature films in competition, Anima reflected the boom in a film form in which Europe is starting to play an important role.

Thierry Schiel's Renart, the fox (Luxembourg) won the
Anima 2005 Feature Film Grand Prix, voted by the audience.

The Prix Be TV Feature Film Prize went to Satoshi Kon's Tokyo Godfathers
(Japan)

- International Competition / Short films awards

The public's vote on short films awarded prizes to the international
selection:

Spela Cadez's Zasukanec (Germany), Grand Prix Anima 2005 for Best Animated Short, student category

Juan Pablo Zaramella's Viaje a marte (Argentina), Grand Prix Anima 2005 for Best Animated Short, Childrens' category

Arthur de Pins' La Révolution des crabes (France), Grand Prix Anima 2005 Best Animated Short, Professional Films category


- Belgian Prizewinners

The official jury comprised Carine Ermans (Belgium), Artistic Director Théâtre du Tilleul, Viviane Vanfleteren (Belgium), Producer at Vivifilm, Serge Bromberg (France), founder of Lobster films and Artistic Director, Annecy Festival, Paul Driessen (Holland), director Benoît Feroumont (Belgium), animator and director.

The Jury, with Serge Bromberg as its president , awarded the following
prizes:

Jean Luc Slock's Max entre ciel et terre (Max between sky and earth), jury special mention

Thijs De Cloedt's Voer voor Kranken, Grand Prix du Gouvernement de la Région de Bruxelles Capitale, worth 3.000 EURO

Louise Marie Colon's La poupée cassée : Grand Prix de la Communauté française, worth 2.500 EURO

Jonas Geirnaert's Flatlife, Prix de la SACD, worth 2.000 EURO

Maya Gouby's Food, Prix de la Sabam, Promotion artistique Belge 2.000 EURO

Audiences at the "C'est du belge" screenings chose the film Flatlife by Jonas Geirnaert.
