Audience and Distribution Award at NatFilm Festival

Audience- and distribution Award
At the closing gala of the 17th edition of NatFilm Festival the audience- and distribution prize of 125.000 DKK (appr. 17.000 euro) was awarded to Jonathan Demme's 'Neil Young - Heart of Gold'.

The prize is earmarked for the theatrical release of the winning film in Denmark. The prize also includes a TV-sale to Danmarks Radio.

The closing film of the festival, which ended April 9, was 'Offscreen' by Christoffer Boe - receiving it's World Premiere at the festival.

TV5 MONDE-Critic's Award
TV5 MONDE-Critic's Award of 25.000 DKK (appr. 3.500 euro) went to 'Look Both Ways' by Sarah Watt.

The critic's jury consisted of Emma Gray (SVT Sweden), Mikal Olsen Lerøen (NRK Norway) and Søren Høy (DR Denmark).

Natsværmer Award
At the opening of the festival Denmark's most prestigious talent award, the Natsværmer Award of 25.000 DKK, was given to director Pernille Fischer Christensen, director of the opening film of the festival, 'A Soap'.

Filmland Prize
At the eve of the festival local pubcaster Danmarks Radio handed out the annual Filmland Prize to director Tómas Gislason.

Bodil Award
And prizes were handed out even before the festivities started: Kim Foss and Andreas Steinmann of NatFilm Festival received an Honorary Bodil each for their year long commitment to what remains the most important film event in Denmark. Bodil - the oldest film award in Denmark - is awarded by Filmmedarbejderforeningen, the Danish Association of Film Critics.

More than 36.000 tickets were sold for this year's edition of the festival. Read more at www.natfilm.dk
