American Debut for the 4TH Edition of A SHADED VIEW ON FASHION FILM Festival at ART/ BASEL/ MIAMI BEACH in collaboration with ACRIA

Just over one month since its Centre Pompidou Paris launch, ASVOFF 4 has already made its way across the globe to Tokyo, and will now travel West making its American debut at the 10th Edition of Art Basel/Miami Beach December 1st-4th, the most prestigious art show in the Americas. The ASVOFF 4 Miami screenings, in collaboration with the Morgan Hotel Group and ACRIA (AIDS Community Research Initiative of America), will take place at the Delano Hotel in an Art Basel/Miami endorsed event, ‘ART BASEL/MIAMI LOVES FASHION FILM'.

Inaugurating the world's most renowned Art Fair December 1st,, an extraordinary event organized by ACRIA including  the Who's Who of the Art and Fashion worlds at the Delano Hotel will toast fashion icon Diane Pernet, celebrating the occasion of the U.S. premier of her groundbreaking A Shaded View on Fashion Film Festival.  A private dinner will be followed by a cocktail party sponsored by Belevdere and a screening of the "Best Of" from the ASVOFF 4 Festival for more than 100 friends of ACRIA at the rooftop Solarium.  This star-studded evening is made possible through support from presenting sponsor Equipment.

 

Personalities, photographers, artists, filmmakers, designers and celebrities including Isabel Rattazzi, Stewart Shining, Luis Morais, Pablo & Victor Alfaro, Calvin Klein, Bruce Weber & Nan Bush, Donna Karan, Giorgio Pace, Nadia Swarovski, Sandy Brant & Ingrid Sischy, Francisco Costa, Stefano Tonchi, and Equipment's Serge Azria & Christian Restoin will be attending the private dinner in honor of ASVOFF's founder Diane Pernet.

 

ACRIA and Diane Pernet will be screening ASVOFF 4 short films directed by leaders of fashion and film the likes of Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Ellen von Unwerth, Bruce Weber, Mike Figgis and Bryan Adams; starring icons Daphne Guinness, Tilda Swinton, Kate Moss, Candy Pratts Price, Vivienne Westwood, and Drew Barrymore just to name a few.

 

A selection of ASVOFF 4 films will be diffused throughout Art Basel / Miami at the Delano Hotel in various settings, programmed in hotel rooms on iPads, on elevator landings and other surprise locations. Screened fims will include the ASVOFF 4 Grand Prize Winner ‘I Want Muscle' by Elisha Smith-Leverock, ‘The Murder of Jean Seberg' by Joseph Lally  starring Daphne Guinness and Michael Brager, "Onions Don't Make Me Cry" by Bryan Adams, as well as a selection of three films by celebrated cineaste Mike Figgis.

 

The AIDS Community Research Initiative of America (ACRIA) is a leading HIV research and education organization. For 20 years, ACRIA has been championed tirelessly by the fashion, art, media, and design communities.
