Join us for the 4th Annual Surf Theatre Film Festival during the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach July 25-28th 2006 at Pierside Surf City 6 Theatres (Formerly Mann's) located directly across from the Huntington Beach Pier.

Tuesday, July 25th 7 PM- Free admission!

Opening night features "SOFIA", a film by Peter Goetz about the Peruvian champion, Sofia Mulanovich. "Some see things as they are and ask why? Others dream things that were never and ask why not"? See how an unlikely girl inspired a nation to believe in their dreams. Meet Sofia in Person!

Wednesday, July 26th

7 PM: "LOG" by Travis Karian features the latest in longboarding from the makers of "From This Day Forward", "The Cast" and "Arise". Starring: Noah Shimubukuru, Kekoa Uemura, Duane Desoto, Lance Hookano, Keegan Edwards and Dino Miranda.

9 PM: "ICONS " By Lance Arinaga dedicated to the current and future stars of Hawaii. A group of individuals making the transition between recreation and fulfilling their dreams. Starring: Jason Shibata, Joel Centeio, Sean moody, Betet Merta, Shane Dorian, Charley "boy" Carrol, Rob Machado, Dustin Quizon, Jun Jo, Fred Pattachia, Joel Parkinson, Macy Mullen, Bruce Irons, Kekoa Balasco.

Thursday, July 27th

7 PM: "PIPE MASTERS" by Stacy Peralta; from the producers of Riding Giants and Dogtown and Z-boys; Stacy Peralta, Agi Orsi and Paul Crowder. The world’s most dangerous wave. Legendary surfers chasing the sport’s ultimate thrill. History’s most dramatic, heart-stopping surfing competition. This is Pipeline Masters. With never before seen footage, this film features Gerry Lopez, Shaun Tomson, Michael Ho, Rob Machado, Kelly Slater, Andy Irons and many more.

9 PM: "SHADES OF BALI" by Andrew Kopjak and Pete Matthews: Shades of Bali not only looks deep into the lives of these Balinese watermen, it also captures the skilled wave riding of the top-shelf professionals who continually return to this magical atoll. Mikala Jones, Jamie O'Brien, Taj Burrow, Dave Rastavich and others take full advantage of Bali's flawless reefs, offshore winds, and endless tube rides. Jones actually calls Bali home for five months out of the year, while O'Brien states that he, "Could live in Bali."

Friday, July 28th 7 PM

Closing Night special event: A ROASTING Tribute to the legendary Peter 'PT' Townend, in celebration of 30 years of professional surfing, the 1st World Champ will be "Roasted" by the surfing industry's elite, moderated by Primedia's Don Meek; this is an event not to miss! As an added treat, Ira Opper's latest film ULTIMATE SESSIONS featuring the best surfing caught on film over 3 decades. Be sure to wear your hottest PINK!
