DOK.fest Munchen opening film announcedOpening: DREAM EMPIRE by David Borenstein The news in the past have been dominated by the war in Syria as well as by the migration crisis. As a consequence, they have driven China out of the headlines. But does that imply there are no news from the East? – Far from it! The business of the young agency boss Yana is booming: In so-called "White Monkey Gigs" foreigners are transforming remote ghost towns in globalised mega cities, attempting to create an illusion of international flair. A trip full with curiosities into the heart of the Chinese Dream. The film DREAM EMPIRE by David Borenstein will open the 32. DOK.fest Munich at Deutsches Theater. The director as well as the protagonist Yana will appear as guests at the opening ceremony. Opening Ceremony Tickets are available from now on at Deutsches Theater Online accreditation opened As of now, film professionals, film students in addition to media representatives will be able to accredit themselves online. DOK.music Open Air – presented by PLANET Enjoy the thrill of great films under the night sky. On five evenings at the HFF Munich, we are presenting a wide range of new music documentaries. This year, we are following a German band during their relaunch, taking one more glimpse through the glitter curtain of the Atomic Café, searching for the Indian roots of Jimi Hendrix, travelling to North Korea with LAIBACH and celebrating the farewell of BLUMENTOPF. The Open Air screenings are presented by PLANET. Entrance is for free. In case of bad weather, the event will be relocated to Cinema 2 at the HFF Munich 12.04.2017 | Docs on the Spot's blog Cat. : FILM
