Hectic days and late nights. Londoner Daphne is caught up in the daily rush of her restaurant job, and a nightlife kaleidoscope of new faces. She is strong, funny, and acerbic but deep down she is not happy. Stuck in a rut, she can’t move forward. Then when she saves the life of a shop keeper, stabbed in a failed robbery, the impenetrable armor she wears to protect herself begins to crack and Daphne is forced to fight against the inevitability of a much needed change in her life.



DAPHNE’s story is intimate, funny, tender and shocking. Like life in any major city, it is an unexpected mix of the comic and tragic. You laugh when you should probably cry and then are moved when you least expect it.

LEAN ON PETE is the adaptation of Willy Vlautin’s acclaimed novel, by award winning writer-director Andrew Haigh (Weekend, 45 YEARS).



Fifteen-year-old Charley Thompson wants a home, food on the table and a high school he can attend for more than part of a year. But as the son of a single father working in warehouses across the Pacific Northwest, finding some stability is hard for Charley. Hoping for a new start they move to Portland where Charley takes a summer job working for a surly, washed up horse trainer at the local race track. When tragic events leave Charley homeless, his only comforts become his friendship with a failing racehorse named Lean on Pete and a photograph of his only known relative. In increasingly desperate circumstances, Charley will head east, hoping to find his aunt who had once lived a thousand miles away in Wyoming - but the journey will be a perilous one.

Strip-Tease is a Belgian television documentary program created in 1985 by the Belgian RTBF. It became a popular and critical success, celebrated for coining a new idiom representing everyday life in Belgium and France. These observations and sketches, often very funny or emotional, sometimes turned to the disturbing. It was TV before reality-TV, in which storytelling gave real people an epic dimension.

Their aim was to create a new kind of documentary in which the commentators disappeared, giving the subjects a platform from which to speak and gradually "undress" or reveal their private lives to the audience, allowing viewers to learn about them on a deeper, uncensored level.





The extraordinary, offbeat judge Anne Gruwez takes us behind the scenes of real life criminal investigations. For three years, the satirical team behind the cult tv series Strip-Tease captured what no one had dared film before. Unapologetic and politically incorrect. You won't believe your eyes.

It's been four years since Sylvie's son Felipe was abducted by his father Pablo after their divorce. Having been let down by the French officials who had succeeded in tracking both them down, only to let them escape again, Sylvie has now decided to take matters into her own hands by hiring a private detective. Pablo's accidental death puts her back on Felipe's track, now living with his aunt and grandmother in the Uruguayan countryside, Pablo's home country.



Mehdi, a social worker, disillusioned with his job, is moved by Sylvie's struggle and decides to leave everything to help her. Together they set out to Uruguay in order to bring her child back to France. Once there, she realises, by being the mother, she has all rights on her son, including the right to destroy the fragile but happy balance that has been built around him.

Rabih, a young blind man, lives in a small village in Lebanon. He sings in a choir and edits Braille documents for an income. His life unravels when he tries to apply for a passport and discovers that his identification card, which he has carried his entire life, is a forgery. Traveling across rural Lebanon in search of a record of his own birth, he meets people on the far fringes of society who tell their own stories, open further questions and give Rabih minor clues about his true identity. Descending into a void at the heart of his existence, Rabih encounters a nation incapable of telling his or its own narrative.
