After its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, the movie was selected for several festivals including Havana FF, Cartagena IFF, Gotebörg FF and many others. At Festival do Rio, it won the Best Actress and Best Director Awards. The movie is now traveling to Argentina and Portugal for the BAFICI and the Indie Lisboa respectively. 



Synopsis: Rio de Janeiro, West Side Zone. A wave of murders plague the area. What starts as a morbid curiosity for the local youth slowly begins to haunt their lives. Among them is Bia, a fifteen year old girl. After an encounter with death, she will do anything to make sure she's alive.

 

Anita Rocha da Silveira directed 3 shorts: THE NOON VAMPIRE (2008), HANDBALL (2010, FIPRESCI Award), and THE LIVING DEAD (2012, The Directors’ Fortnight selection). KILL ME PLEASE is her first feature film and premiered at VENICE FILM FESTIVAL (Orizzonti section). Later, it won the Best Director and Actress Awards at Rio International Film Festival.
