Tribute to André Téchiné's through his new film GOLDEN YEARS

 



to kick off the celebrations of the 70th anniversary the Cannes Film Festival is presenting a special tribute to André Téchiné, as well as the world premiere of his new film GOLDEN YEARS.   

Pierre Deladonchamps (STRANGER BY THE LAKE) and Céline Sallette (HOUSE OF TOLERANCE) are Paul and Louise Grappe, who get married on the eve of World War I. When Paul deserts, Louise decides to hide him dressed as a woman. First a pure necessity to survive, Paul embraces his new self more and more and turns into “Suzanne”, a Parisian celebrity in the Roaring 20’s. When granted amnesty, he is challenged to live as a man again. The film is based on a true story. 

Press has priority access to the screening tomorrrow, Monday May 22 at 19h45 in Debussy. Please arrive with enough time in advance to not miss this unique chance to see the film in Cannes.
