The International Village

Before leaving the Palais for a much-needed rest in anticipation of the parties that dot the Croisette, take a moment to wander around the International Village, where many of the tents offer apéro and mingling opportunities for film professionals.

At the CST tent, large groups of people met to talk and enjoy the offerings of the tent outdoors, even if it was a little bit chilly to be standing outside--a strange surprise for Cannes veterans, accustomed to sun and beach weather during these two weeks of May.

No bother--there was more than enough to keep people entertained, as they met and mingled with other professionals or sat at one of the tables to peruse informational documents from the Village's various tents or the daily trade magazines from the day's screenings.
