Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes

Rain on the Red Carpet

The weather in Cannes this year has been unpredictable at best.

"I've never had to use my umbrella so many times at the festival," a frequent Cannes attendee said esterday, as it drizzled all through the afternoon.

That didn't stop people from crowding around the red carpet to see people ascend for the 4:00 PM screening of Er Shi Si Cheng Ji (24 City), a film by Jia Zhangke. By yesterday evening, the skies had cleared, and today it's back to sun as usual here on the Côte d'Azur.
