Inside Out-Review

by, Cameron Lui

Once again, Pixar delivered a heart-warming and thought provoking cartoon that can please any age.

The five emotions are played by Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black, which in itself guarantees a quality film. The way they intermingle is so political that it gave room for a lot of flexibility to make the story represent the cause of human behavior. What makes "Inside Out" so intriguing for adults is the evaluation that Pixar makes on growing up, human behavior and the causes of our depressions or anxieties.

The story within the girls mind is clear and well structured which will make an enjoyable movie for children. While the outer world that the girl lives in is very emotional and gives an extra edge to the film through a relatable childhood situation.

However, I would have liked to see more of the protagonists interactions at school later in the film. It seemed like the analysis of why children change and grow up was missing without more social interactions.

Overall, it is definitely a must see for any demographic. Pixar always delivers classic children films and this one did not disappoint. The only reason I would have for not saying it was spectacular is because of my unfairly high expectations for Pixar films at this point.
