Hot Ticket for May 15th - Dossier 137

Tonight's Hot Ticket film is from French-German filmmaker Dominik Moll, featuring his new detective thriller, 'Dossier 137'. The official synopsis reads: "Stéphanie, a police officer working for Internal Affairs, is assigned to a case involving a young man severely wounded during a tense and chaotic demonstration in Paris. While she finds no evidence of illegitimate police violence, the case takes a personal turn when she discovers the victim is from her hometown." Dossier 137 faces the problem of police brutality that has become increasingly prevalent in the recent past, and creates an engaging thriller that will keep your attention for the entire 115-minute runtime. 

Earlier today, the film premiered on the Red Carpet with the principal cast and crew. The reviews for Dossier 137 have been fairly positive, on lead actress Stéphanie Bertrand, Deadline said: "As Stéphanie Bertrand, the tremendous Léa Drucker gives vitality to every move and counter-move in this measured account of police business. Drucker is able to conjure a frosty authority that is entirely convincing, while simultaneously hinting at vulnerabilities that nobody within the narrative is allowed to see." Dossier 137 is an early Palme d'Or candidate worthy of being tonight's Hot Ticket.
