Cinema de la Plage - an escape from all the movement

There are many great things about the Cannes Film Festival: the movies, the premieres, the celebrities, the parties etc. However there's one part of the festival that doesn't get as much attention as it should (even though that's most likely a good thing). It's called Cinema de la Plage, meaning Cinema of the Beach. On the Croisette, amongst Cannes' busy nightlife, is a spot where those who would like to get away from the bustling crowds can relax and watch a movie on the beach. The set up consists of a huge projection screen displayed in front of the ocean, where the audience can cuddle up on a blanket in the sand or on the comfy chairs outside. There is one movie shown every night of the festival at 8:30pm, as long as wheather permits.

 The following is the Cinema de la Plage schedule for the rest of the week:
