European Film Promotion (EFP) and its member organisations are delighted to announce that 31 former participants of EFP's PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE programme from 15 countries and 14 SHOOTING STARS from 7 countries will be celebrating the premiere of their films in Cannes.

The competition films Club Zero by Jessica Hausner include a collaboration between last year's Austrian Producer on the Move, Johannes Schubert, and Per Damgaard Hansen from Denmark (2018) while the Finnish Producers of the Move from 2014 and 2016, Misha Jaari and Mark Lwoff, produced Aki Kaurismäki's new film, Fallen Leaves.

This year's Dutch Producer on the Move Erik Glijnis will be joined by his fellow producers from Denmark (Eva Jakobsen, 2014; Mikkel Jersin, 2016), The Netherlands (Leontine Petit, 2006) and Switzerland (Dan Wechsler, 2011) for the international co-production and Cannes Premieres entry, Perdidos en la Noche by Amat Escalante.

Former European Shooting Stars are in front of the camera in six competition films, including Alicia Vikander (Sweden, 2011/Firebrand by Karim Aïnouz), Fabrizio Gifuni (Italy 2002/Rapito by Marco Bellocchio), Melvil Poupaud (France, 1998/Jeanne du Barry by Maïwenn), Mathieu Demy (France 1999/ Club Zero by Jessica Hausner), Alba Rohrwacher (Italy 2009/La Chimera by Alice Rohrwacher, lI sol dell' Avvenire by Nanni Moretti), Ella Rumpf (Switzerland, 2020/Marguerite's Theorem by Anna Novion) and Clotilde Courau (France 1998/Last Summer by Catherine Breillat).

EFP is delighted to welcome Natalia Lebert as a guest producer from Ukraine this year. She will take part in the PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE programme on site. Natalia is co-owner of the women-led 2Brave Productions in Kyiv, Ukraine. She produced and co-produced the successful feature debuts of Kateryna Gornostai (Stop-Zemlia, Crystal Bear Berlinale Generation 14+), Mantas Kvedaravicius (Parthenon Venice International Film Critics' Week), Marta Smerechynska (Diary of a Bride of Christ, Sarajevo Film Festival) and Dekel Berenson's short film Anna (Festival de Cannes Short Film Competition).

Please find here the full list of films with participation by PRODUCERS OF THE MOVE and EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS.

Both programmes are made possible thanks to the support of the Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme of the European Union and the participating national film institutes, EFP's member organisations.
