- JAPAN’S LARGEST SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
Now entering our 11th year, the Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) has become one of Asia’s largest festival for international short films. Our main festival is held for over a week in the heart of Harajuku TOKYO!
The Festival organizes national tours around Japan, gathering more than 200,000 people in the audience. In addition to these national tours, the Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) has toured in LA, Singapore, Myanmar, and Mexico establishing itself as a unique, Japanese-born film festival showcased worldwide.
- ACADEMY AWARDS ® ACCREDITED
In 2004 the Short Shorts Flm Festival was recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a qualifying festival in the short films categories for the annual Academy Awards®.
Many of our selected filmmakers will receive roundtrip airfare to Tokyo to attend the festival in TOKYO!
