KINOFILM Festival Manchester - Call For Entries
Kinofilm is now inviting the call for entries to its new European Film Festival.
The Festival will be relaunched from 23rd - 28th February 2010, as a European Short Film
Festival and invites submissions from all over Europe including former
Eastern Europe and Baltic States.
Kinofilm showcases the best of short films from around the world on both film and video, hi/low/no budget shorts, underground cinema, also seminars, forums, networking events and industry events. Festival is Competitive. A limted number of entries will be considered from non-European countries for award-winning films or for those of outstanding merit, for a special International showcase.
Main categories include short drama, animation, experimental, digital shorts, Documentary, Romantic Tales, Cinema Extreme, Comedy, Horror, Fantasy & Sci-fi, Erotica, Lesbian & Gay, Polish Cinema, Latin America, and Bluefire (Kino's Black and Asian section).
There is also a sidebar of debut features for filmmakers that have recently made the transition from Short Film to Feature.
The festival also has a youth and community event and welcomes submissions from youth based organisations.
Films should be no longer than 20 mins (except documentaries which will be allowed upto 30 mins) and must be made within the last 12 months.
Submissions are open from 1st July, deadline is 10th September. To submit a Film email the Festival for an application form.
