The Ocean Film Series from 11 to 14 ?
The Ocean films are one of the most popular series of films that are centered around casinos and gambling. The first and third films of the trilogy are set in Las Vegas and it is these films which are the most popular of the three. The first film was a remake of Ocean's 11 from 1960 which starred several of the Rat Pack including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin. The first film of the new series was released in 2001 and also featured an all star cast which included George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.
Ocean's Eleven
Ocean's Eleven is based around a team that is put together by Danny Ocean (George Clooney) to rob three Las Vegas casinos in one night. This part of the film follows the original but the outcome is different. In the original film the gang lost of all the money that they had stolen but in this version they got away with the money in the end, although the character of Danny Ocean did end up in jail for a short time before being released. The fact that the gang got away with the money sets up the plot for the second film.
Ocean's Twelve
The basis for the second film is the gang reuniting to find the money that they owe to Terry Benedict, the owner of the casinos that were robbed in the first film. It is titled Ocean's Twelve because Danny's girlfriend Tess (Julia Roberts) is now part of the group and is involved in the plot to steal a Faberge Egg from a notorious thief named the Night Fox. The plan is successful and the money that is owed to Benedict is able to be repaid.
Ocean's Thirteen
The final film in the series sees most of the gang return to Las Vegas. This film is centered around a revenge plot to get back money that has been stolen from Reuben Tishkoff by casino owner Willy Bank who is played by Al Pacino. Tess is not involved in this robbery but Willy Bank is also an enemy of Terry Benedict who joins the gang along with a character named Roman Nagel who works at the casino that they are robbing. Oprah Winfrey also has a cameo appearance. Benedict is found to be trying to double cross the rest of the group and as a result they donate his cut to charity and then force him to announce this on Oprah.

Interest in these films is still going strong more than fifteen years later. Fans not only love the story line of the films, but also the chance to experience the thrills of Las Vegas. This is also something that you can get from playing at US online casinos. There are also rumors of another remake but this time starring an all female cast with Sandra Bullock in the lead role. These rumors have been met with a general feeling of excitement from fans and there is no signs of the love affair that people have with these films ending soon.
