Our Top 5 Video Game Movies

Video game movies provide lots of variety, meaning players can expect multiple genres that suit their personal preferences. This is possibly why this niche of movies always performs pretty well when it comes to box office ratings. Whether you are a hardcore PlayStation Gamer, or a Nintendo old school kid who has been through every phase of gaming, there are some video games which are perfect for all the family to watch, regardless of the video game it is based off of.

With the new generation of filmmaking, big studios are excited to invest money to bring to life some of the best gaming titles we know. While many games are still waiting for PC gaming titles like CSGO, Fortnite etc., to make it to the big screen, we do have some great alternative movies to watch in the meantime. However, you can check out to find your favourite CSGO sites, but with a new opportunity for gambling.

So, in terms of the best video game movies, here is what we think, listed down below.

You probably most definitely knew that these titles would appear on our list. Uncharted was in the making and rumoured to be coming for such a long time, and when it did hit the movie screens, it certainly left a great impact. While the movie is not necessarily perfect, there are scenes which truly capture the vibe of the game nonetheless, and you will wish that you can reach for the controller and begin to take over the walkthrough, as it seems so very natural and instinctive almost.

Brought to life by some very credited actors, Mark Wahlberg brings to life the character of Sully, however Tom Holland has way more athletic stunting ability, so it would seem. Nevertheless, fans were pretty impressed, and it was a hit.

Mortal Kombat

Nearly everyone's cup of tea, Mortal Kombat was something everyone was playing at one point. The fight scenes alone must have seriously got some thorough creative direction, especially when it comes to mirroring the true light of the video games. Let’s not forget to mention the fake blood too. Fake blood in large quantities, splattered everywhere must have had the production team on constant demand for some.

While dialogue can be quite clustered at times within the movie, the fighting spouts alone do the gaming series justice.

Resident Evil

Resident Evil is coming to its 6th count for movie releases now. While the first film certainly left a huge impression on the gaming community, the movie slowly spread across the world as a phenomenon, for the great representation of the walking dead that we fear in fantasy horror. Mila Jovovich made an exceptional contribution to the role, and really brought to life Alice, however, she unfortunately does not get enough credit for it, despite bringing forward A-class acting.

The entire movie series has become a binge-worthy weekend to rewatch over and over again. Yup, it is that good.

Tomb Raider

Last movie that we think really completes our list is Tomb Raider. This movie really does not need an introduction. While we know there are many instalments played by both Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, both bring together really great alternatives for the game. Alicia comes across as the more athletic actor for Tomb Raider, whereas Angelina Jolie definitely had the charisma and charm to bring sex appeal to the role.

With a confirmation of a second movie sequel, it would appear that the reboot movie holds more firmly, how many gaming fans envision the lost kingdom tombs and raiding them would look like. Nevertheless, the reboot in comparison to the original still has split opinion in terms of preferences, so we will just leave that to you.
