For a great game of slots, visit these places

Slot machines are not the oldest casino games available for players, but surely one of the most popular. In their history of less than 150 years (the first slot machine was built in 1887, the other classic casino games are much older) slot machines have become the most diversified, most colorful and - if luck is on your side 0 the most lucrative casino games of all times, spawning a whole new branch of the gambling industry.

Slots are the most diversified breed of casino games, but not all slots are 'created equal'. Some are better, others are worse - even the best developer team (there are quite a few) can have more or less inspired moments when building new slots. The question all slot machines fans might ask themselves (or Google, for that matter) is where can these slots be tried without any risks before playing them for real money, without being forced to rely on slot casino reviews that, as we all know, can be biased sometimes.

The first place where you should look for 'demo' versions of the slot machines is right at the web page of your online casino. Most such establishments offer their (future) players the chance to try out their games even before registering - playing for 'fun' money instead of real money. This way players can try the slots - and other games - offered by the casino without ever risking one cent. 'Demo' experience may, though, differ from the real thing…

Another place to look for great free slots is the website of the casino software developer. Many - although not all - developers offer their visitors the chance to try all their new products in 'demo' mode on their website - this is the case of my favorite slots developer, Net Entertainment.

On the NetEnt website players have the chance to try out all their casino games - their huge slot machines offer included - for 'fun money'. The games posted on their website are all demo versions, meaning that they might differ from the 'real money' ones on casino websites, but they are a great way to make a general idea about their quality.

Other developers, but not all of them, also offer access to their games in 'demo' mode through their website. For example, Betsoft Gaming and Rival Gaming allow players to play their games on their website, whereas the 'biggest' names in the industry - Playtech, Realtime Gaming and Microgaming - don't.

If you intend to try out the games offered by these developers, you can google the name of the game - surely you will find either a casino offering free play, or a website dedicated to that certain slot machine, albeit always full with the most annoying ads in existence.
