Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes

Busan International Film Festival deplores the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Since the unprovoked invasion from February 24, we witnessed the tragic procession of Ukrainian refugees and the countless casualties caused.
Every member of the festival office expresses deep regret in response to this unbearable invasion of Ukraine, as the spirit of freedom and peace is the most basic and valuable ideology that all citizens in the world must defend.
The Russian government deserves condemnation for its brutal and violent act of war. We demand the Russian government to withdraw troops from Ukraine and stop war that threatens the security of human lives and peace.
The Busan International Film Festival extends full support to the Ukrainian people and their filmmakers protesting against the invasion to defend the country amidst the crisis and pray for our world and those suffering from war.
