The Hellenic History Foundation ((ΙD.IS.ME.) the organizer and the instigator of the International Documentary Festival «Beyond Borders» was founded in 2008 by a team of young historians and researchers (former collaborators of Hellenic Literary and Historical Archive) with the aim of preserving, documenting and disseminating contemporary history.

With more than 45,000 members across the country, the Hellenic History Foundation is trying hard to increase awareness on the importance of history, heritage and culture. Its activities include the publishing of scientific books, the creation of history documentaries, as well as the organisation of scholarly meetings, lectures, seminars, based on its publications, research and documentaries.

An integral part of H.H.F.’s endeavour is to create history documentaries. Through academic research, combined with high quality equipment and skilled personnel, the Hellenic History Foundation aims to produce memorable documentaries that achieve recognition and distinction worldwide. H.H.F. works with reputable research centres and universities, both in Greece and abroad, to form an ever-expanding network of collaborators. There is no membership fee if you would like to become a Member of H.H.F. The Hellenic History Foundation’s only source of income is through its publications and documentaries (in Greek and English languages).
