EFM 16: The Exchange brings Tiger Mickey Rourke starring

TIGER stars Mickey Rourke (IRON MAN 2, THE WRESTLER), Janel Parrish (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS), Prem Singh (BREAKAWAY). It tells the inspirational true story of Pardeep Singh Nagra, a Sikh man who was banned from the sport of boxing for refusing to back down from his beliefs. Nagra was a contender for the Olympic Games, but was denied the opportunity to fight because he refused to shave his beard, which would have violated Sikh religious law. With immense support from his head coach and mentor, Pardeep does what any strong-willed person would do: fight back! But in the fallout from his decision to fight the ruling, he receives a barrage of threats. His friends and family are afraid the fight for justice will escalate to violence outside of the ring. Pardeep must decide whether his quest for religious equality is worth losing his shot at Olympic glory.

TIGER is directed by Alister Grierson (SANCTUM, KOKODA, NOWHERE BOYS).

The story is written by Michael Pugliese & Prem Singh. The film is presented by R3M Productions and produced by Mary Aloe (TEN THOUSAND SAINTS, MOTHERS DAY) of Aloe Entertainment and Daniel Grodnik (HEIST, DAUGTHER OF GOD) of Mass Hysteria Entertainment, and Rocco Pugliese of R3M Productions.
