Don't Miss Death of Nintendo in Gen-KPlus at Berlinale!(Noel Comia Jr., Kim Chloie Oquendo, screenwriter/producer Valerie Martinez, © Lindsay Bellinger)
by Lindsay R. Bellinger Filipino director Raya Martin, who participated in Berlinale Talents and screened his film La última película at Berlinale in 2014's Forum Expanded, has also taken part in Cannes Cinéfondation and screened at Cannes' Un Certain Regard in 2009. For the 70th Berlin International Film Festival Martin and screenwriter/producer/childhood friend Valerie Martinez present a touching coming of age story about four friends in The Philippines of the early 90s. Here's a message from the two lead actors and screenwriter/producer Valerie Martinez.
Unfortunately, director Raya Martin was busy getting ready for his next project which is hoping to start shooting in March. Luckily his stars Kim Chloie Oquendo and Noel Comia Jr. and Martinez were happy to fill in and present the world premiere of Death of Nintendo on Saturday afternoon at Urania Kino to a full house.
