Bahamas International Film Festival DailiesBahamas International Film Festival The Bahamas International Film Festival is dedicated to providing the local community and International visitors with a diverse presentation of films from around the world. educational programs, and forums for exploring the future of cinema. BIFF’s 16th anniversary dates are scheduled for December 9 to December 15 with all activities taking place at Baha Mar and venues around Nassau. Jetblue Airways to Sponsor Festival’s New Vision Film SectionJetBlue Airways has come on board to sponsor the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) and will lend its name to support the New Vision Film section of the Festival. The announcement was made by BIFF Founder and Executive Director Leslie Vanderpool, and Alan Sweeting, General Manager of JetBlue Airways in The Bahamas. Under terms of the deal, JetBlue has become the official airline sponsor of BIFF and the exclusive airline partner for festival travel between the United States and The Bahamas. Commented Vanderpool, “We at BIFF are extremely excited to be partnering with one of the leading airlines in the aviation industry.” Vanderpool added, “With an airline who will be serving Festival guests the special blue martini at the film festival, this is an example of a sponsor who is one step ahead, showcasing their innovation by branding themselves through a great cultural and international event.
