Jackson Wild™ Media Awards Finalists Announced!

This year’s submissions included over 750 category entries from nearly 30 different countries competing for 24 awards.

 

Congratulations to the 2021 Jackson Wild Media Awards, our annual international competition considered to be the highest bar of achievement in natural history filmmaking.

Reflecting the growing importance of media to combat the global climate change crisis, this year’s submissions included over 750 category entries from nearly 30 different countries competing for 24 content, craft and program awards, as well as the Best of Festival Grand Teton Award. Finalists were selected by more than 150 international judges who together screened over 3,000 hours of media.

Stay tuned for finalists in the Sound category, as well as Special Jury recognitions!

A distinguished panel of final judges from around the globe will select the 2021 Jackson Wild Media Award Winners over the coming weeks. Winners will be announced during the Jackson Wild Media Awards gala on Thursday, September 30 slated as the culminating event of the 30th Anniversary Jackson Wild Summit.

 

 LOCAL Summit Volunteers Needed

            Application deadline is on a rolling basis. 

We are looking for self-motivated, committed, and passionate LOCAL volunteers for the Jackson Wild Summit. Tasks include helping with event support, guest relations, hospitality, and production. Volunteers will have access to sessions, panel discussions, and film screenings. We are currently only accepting applications for LOCAL volunteer positions. Individuals who sign up first will be prioritized for the positions. 

Proof of vaccination will be required.

2021 Media Lab Cohort

Jackson Wild, in collaboration with Day’s Edge Productions and HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, is proud to announce the 2021 Jackson Wild Media Lab Fellows. The selection committee was deeply impressed by the passion and talent of the over 300 applicants from Canada, the United States, and outlying islands, with 16 Fellows selected for this rigorous professional development cohort.
