American actor and activist Richard Gere was special guest speaker at the 2015 North American Gratitude Tenshug to His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama held at Javits Center, New York, July 10, 2015. Gere paid tribute to His Holiness by sharing a Native American story of Two Wolves and his experience at a 1997 New York private screening of KUNDUN Biopic, directed Martin Scorsese.

Organized by the North American Tibetan Association (NATA) of American and Canadian Tibetans; the mark of gratitude event celebrated Dalai Lama’s 80th birthday (July 6, 1935). Over 16,000 people from all over the world attended this extraordinary once in a lifetime event.
