56th Annual GRAMMY Awards Winners List

The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards hosted by LL COOL J commenced Sunday, January 26, 2014, 8:00pm ET at Staples Center in Los Angeles and aired live on CBS Television Network. Presented by The Recording Academy, the Grammy Awards honor musical excellence in the recording arts and sciences to artists and technical professionals of 2013. DAFT PUNK received five GRAMMYs including Record of the Year for Get Lucky; MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS received three GRAMMYs including Best Rap Song Thrift Shop; and LORDE became the youngest recipient of a Grammy Award for Song of the Year Royals.

This year’s GRAMMY Awards special performances included Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on drums; Robin Thicke and Chicago; Jay Z and Beyonce duet; country oldies with Blake Shelton, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Merle Haggard; and all-star rock performance by Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl and Lindsey Buckingham. A live historical wedding ceremony for 33 couples was officiated by Queen Latifah during the performance of Same Love by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Open Your Heart by Madonna.
